Monica Gomez

Senior Communications Consultant

Monica Gomez is a Senior Communications Consultant with Voler Strategic Advisors, bringing more than 25 years of experience in media relations, communications and public relations across the education, nonprofit, government and corporate sectors. 

Monica began her career as a news reporter and producer in Bay Area media, giving her a strong foundation in storytelling, media relations and communications. Her career has also included serving as Public Information Officer for the San José/Evergreen Community College District, Public Relations Manager for Rural/Metro, and Program Manager for Applied Materials. Most recently, Monica spent 10 years at Notre Dame High School, where she led alum relations programs and helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support students and the school.

A graduate of San José State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Monica is deeply committed to her community. She is the founder of an organization honoring farmworkers every year by delivering lunches to the fields. She also serves on the Advancement Committee of the Board of Sacred Heart Nativity Schools.

Monica is the proud mother of three children in college, who attend George Washington University, the University of San Diego and the University of Southern California. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, soaking up the sun and cooking.
